ACADEMIC OPHTHALMOLOGY UVEITIS SPECIALIST

The Department of Ophthalmology is seeking a Uveitis specialist who is committed to academic medicine to join the faculty at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  This is an open-rank, full-time position.

The clinical activity primarily takes place at the Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin Eye Institute; however, ophthalmology faculty members also provide clinical coverage at the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, Froedtert Hospital, and Zablocki Veterans Administration Medical Center. 

Successful candidates will demonstrate strong clinical expertise, excellent interpersonal skills, enthusiasm for patient care, and a commitment to the academic missions of MCW, including education, research, and scholarly engagement.

Qualifications:

  • Medical degree (MD, DO, or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification (or eligibility) by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
  • State medical licensure, or eligibility to obtain license, in the state of Wisconsin.
  • Completion of a Uveitis or Medical Retina Fellowship program
  • Rank will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful finalist.
  • An interest in clinical, or basic science, research is desirable and could be supported with start-up funds.
