Colorado Retina Associates in Denver is seeking a full or part time uveitis specialist to join a busy established uveitis service. Our practice is an 11 physician vitreoretinal private practice group with dedicated subspecialists in uveitis, ocular oncology, and inherited retinal dystrophies, creating a collegial atmosphere similar to an academic department. We have 5 modern offices in the metro Denver area with opportunities for satellite clinics beyond Denver.
Our primary focus is providing excellent patient care. We have a full-time fellowship-trained uveitis subspecialist and we are looking for a second physician to help grow and manage this service, which sees patients from Colorado and 7 surrounding states. Clinical research is an important component of our practice as well, with 5-7 active uveitis trials and 15-20 retina trials currently enrolling patients, keeping us at the cutting edge of emerging technologies and treatments. We operate an infusion center for intravenous immunosuppressant therapies at one of our offices, allowing patients to have their appointment and infusions in one clinical setting. We have a large established network of rheumatologists and referring optometrists/ophthalmologists in Colorado and surrounding states. We recognize the unique opportunities and challenges of uveitis in the private practice setting, and so we have a dedicated team of clinical support coordinators specifically for the uveitis service.
We are seeking a skilled, highly motivated, fellowship-trained uveitis specialist who is comfortable with managing systemic immunosuppression. The new associate is expected to help with existing patient volume and expand our practice. If a full-time position is sought, we will offer a partnership-track position with competitive salary and productivity incentives. Additional training in surgical or medical retina is welcome but not required.
